We got woken up at 5.30am with people singing and talking like it was midday. So we packed up and got back on the road and stopped off at Galvan's Gorge. It was only a 15 minute walk in and the boys had a quick swim.
Then we drove onto Manning Gorge. After setting up we went to the waterhole that is at the camp ground and the start of the Manning Gorge walk for a swim. To start the walk you have to jump in a small boat and pull yourself across with ropes. All the kids in the camp ground were having a great time jumping in it and pulling themselves across.
We then went back to camp and met our lovely neighbours Craig, Donna and their 3 girls Alyssa, Mia and Emily. We had actually spoken to Donna at Windjana the day before. That night we all had a camp fire together and the parents all stayed up very late!!
The next morning we said good bye to Craig and Donna and we went on the Gorge walk. We hopped in the boat and it took about an hour to walk into the gorge. Manning Gorge is definitely the most spectacular gorge that we have seen so far.
The boys quickly got undressed and they were off. They went straight to the top of the falls and jumped off a 10 meter jump, we couldn't believe it. We stayed there for 3 hours and had a great time. By the end of it Cooper and Michael found an even higher jump that was approx. 12 meters and jumped off. I was happy just swimming around.
It was a hot walk back to the camp ground so we all jumped back in for another swim when we got back.
Michael and Cooper went for a fish and an explore down the river with Greg another traveller and spotted a few freshwater crocs and Mitch and I stayed behind so he could play footy with some friends.
We had another camp fire and an early night after our big day.
