12 September 2016 - Day 163 - Nullabor Crossing

It was up and on the road again for another big day.

Our first stop was the Caiguna Blowhole.  When I looked on the map I said to Michael something doesn't seem right as the blowhole is quite a few kms inland.  When we arrived at the same time as a few greymads they also thought the same thing.  It is a blowhole of an underground cavity and it is air that is released at up to 72 km/hr.  It was a bit of a let down as nothing was happening but we all had a laugh and it got us out of the car for a while.

The next stop was our first hole on the Nullabor Golf Links.  We played The Caiguna hole called the 90 Mile Straight at 310m.  We all had heaps of fun even though it was hard to find your ball amongst the bushes and rocks.

We then drove onto the next hole at Madura called the Brumby's Run at 125m.  This hole was right at the petrol station which we filled up at and you had to hit the ball over the road where cars were parked and driving.  I had an absolute shocker and took about 20 shots to get it on the green where as the boys all played really well.  Mitch thinks he was going to get a hole in one except for his ball hit a tree!!

Then we drove on further to Eucla and stopped again for petrol and the boys had a quick play on the equipement at the service station before we crossed the WA/SA border.

We reached the coast and the cliffs were amazing.

Again we had no idea where we were going to stay so we just kept driving.  We drove into a lookout and the carpark was a little way back from the coast and the road  so we decided to park up and stay there the night.

We played monopoly and stayed inside.  It was the windiest night that we had had so far.
