We arrived in Perth early in the morning and headed straight to Mitchell's Godparents house at Greenwood. It was great to see our old friends again Marcus, Naomi, Jakob, Connor and Mitchell (Big Mitch). We hadn't seen them for three years and were very surprised when we saw the kids and how much they had grown.
After parking the van in their driveway were we stayed for the next week we went and watched Jakob and Connon play AFL. They both had a great game. Then we went back home and had a few drinks in the sun and caught up on everything. The boys then decided to made a Lemonade stand in front of their house and people that were playing frisbee golf in the park across the road came and bought their Lemonade. They made over $30 for a few hours work. They certainly are little entrepreneurs!!!
That night we got our fire pit out and we had a fire. The boys all loved it.
Over the next week we had a heaps of fun spending time together.
We went to Scitech which is abit like Questacon and Big Mitch had the day off and came with us. On the way home we dropped into the local skatepark, just another one to add to the list!!
Michael played golf with Marcus and Naomi's Brother Nigel at The Western Australian Golf Course where Marcus is a member and had a great day.
We had a nice dinner with Simmo, Michelle, Neve and Kia at the Mullaloo Beach Hotel.
We also visited the Perth Zoo and we were really impressed with by the Orangutan enclosures. There were approx. 15 Orangutans on display and they each had their own climbing house/structure. We sat and watched them swinging around and climbing for a long time.
After the zoo we went to Hillary's Boat Harbour for lunch and walked around the marina looking and dreaming about all the boats.
Each day our boys would be hanging for Jakob, Connor and Mitchell to get home from school. Our boys really enjoyed riding their scooters and mucking around together. A few afternoon the boys played frisbee golf together in the park across the road.
The week went super fast as we were having lots of fun catching up. Michael and Marcus loved reminiscing of old times when they met in 1998 backpacking in Europe, after a few drinks it was getting harder for them to remember!!!
A big Thanks to Marcus and Naomi not only for letting us stay with them for the week but for also for storing our caravan for us while we went to Bali.
It was so awesome to see you guys... Nash was talking about the boys again today! Hope your having a great rest of your trip and have scored some more warm weather, its fricken freezing here again
